Interview with Nichelle
Nichelle: Born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
What is your ethnic background?
Nichelle: Im AFRICAN AMERICAN...forget what I'm mixed with =]
What are your measurements?
Nichelle: My measurements are 36-26-42.5
How did you get started in modeling?
Nichelle: I've been modeling since I was 5 off and on and decided to stick it out when I was 19. I've been doing glamour since I was about 20, but I do other things outside of glamour like commercial print, acting and I used to dance.
Who do you respect out there in the industry?
Nichelle: Really, no one. They need to earn it and as far as I'm concerned no one. This industry is RUTHLESS and you can NOT trust no one, but I'm Still Long Beach's sweetheart.
What job have you had the most fun doing?
Nichelle: Honestly, aside from DANCE FLICK; yesterday i was a lead in Day 26's So Good and feature in their video girlfriends. I honestly had the most fun. Those brothers are really cool and humble. I wasn't feeling music videos for the longest because of the so called "politics", but they showed me it could be different.
What do you think is your best physical attribute?
Nichelle: I love my eyes, I'm happy 100% with everything on me from head to
toe...I mean my behind attracts, but i love my eyes.
What are some of you current projects?
Nichelle: Well i've been talking to Show magazine, Smooth magazine, Black Mens, King, XXL; all the major ish =], but right now I'm a senior in college so that is my project. You will probably see me in a movie or on a tv show though.
What are some of your future goals?
Nichelle: UGraduate with my B. A, obtain my masters, become the next Halle Berry on the big screen, live my life because I only have one and no more stressing.
How would you best describe your personality?
Nichelle: I am truly one of a kind and anybody could tell you that, outgoing and I can be the nicest women in the world, but will be just as mean if provoked.
What do you like to do outside of modeling?
Nichelle: I'm a senior in college, I am an actress( Sag/Aftra), I am a graphic/web designer/ retoucher, I'm starting a clothing line with a friend and also looking into starting a business. I think i might get into styling; people are always calling me about the fact they need something to wear in a shoot or a concept.
What is your biggest obsession. Clothes, shoes or bags?
Nichelle: If you in my closet i have everything!!! Like I can't say, i just love to look good.
What type of guys do you like?
Nichelle: Honestly, I have always been a cheerleader up until 21. So, its been athletes because of the masculinity. Arms drive me crazy =], but I'm over it, I'm in need of real now days. Hard to find in Los Angeles.
What are some of your guilty pleasures?
Nichelle: Electronics and wardrobe. That's where all of my money goes.
If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
Nichelle: Maybe a dog, if they have a great owner they are pampered just like humans.
WWhats your favorite thing to do when you go out?
Nichelle: Laugh, its always something or someone to laugh at when I go out. I like to have a good time. Check the attitude at the door Bitches!
What advice to you have for any aspiring models out there?
Nichelle: Ladies, rather its fashion, glamor, commercial whatever. Keep going. You will get so many NOs before you will get a YES. If you know you have no business modeling DON'T. I see sooooo many "ass" models on myspace. This is a business invest in your appearance, wardrobe, photos, GET YOUR PHOTOS RETOUCHED! LOOK ill help out girls by doing a photo for $5. Like i can not stress that enough. Have a positive attitude even if you are addressed with bullshit. Sign up for casting agencies like the casting networks , get a modelmayhem.com profile.
